Connected Device Security Loopholes

As connected devices become more popular and ubiquitous, companies will have to redouble their efforts to secure our devices.

Throughout 2018, researchers showed how Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home devices could be used to eavesdrop on users by employing techniques similar to conventional phishing attacks.

Both Google and Amazon deployed countermeasures once the security vulnerability was discovered, but new loopholes were found yet again last year.
