They launched DDoS attacks against governments, corporations and banks. Hacktivist organizations, including Anonymous, WikiLeaks and DC Leaks, see themselves as durable forces of change. Glamorized by the TV show “Mr. Robot,” hacktivism is on the rise—and, given heated political tensions during a year in which many elections are being held, we’ll likely see more of these operations.
Hacktivists will use their skills to help shape local, state, national and international politics, conversations, and business practices.
