Global Cybersecurity Pacts

Late in 2018, more than 200 companies and 50 countries signed an international agreement on cybersecurity principles to end malicious cyber activities in peacetime.

Late in 2018, more than 200 companies (including Microsoft, Google and Facebook) and 50 countries signed an international agreement on cybersecurity principles to end malicious cyber activities in peacetime.

While non-binding, the agreement attempts to develop norms and standards for how countries behave in cyberspace.

Noticeably absent from the list of signers: Russia, China, North Korea, Israel and the United States.
