Sam is a Manager at Future Today institute. She focuses on the future of computing, virtual realities, AI, and space. Prior to joining FTI, Sam was the CEO and co-founder of TrovBase, a secure data discovery and analysis sharing platform. Sam grew the company from idea to product in market and executed the company’s transition from scientific replication to its current focus. In parallel, Sam engaged with the open science community, advocating for better data management practices to address challenges in scientific replication. Before her role at TrovBase, Sam worked at IBM, where she helped large enterprises in the retail and distribution sector modernize their IT stack. Her expertise centered around mainframes, assisting with the integration of new software and modern methodologies to the legacy systems. Sam holds a BS in Economics and Data Analysis from George Mason University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Sam also serves as a guest lecturer in the strategic foresight class offered at NYU Stern.
